Three years or more ago, Mothers’ Day is the day that many mothers would want to feel special about - but there are some families that aren’t as fortunate as others to celebrate such pampering day.
Three years ago, our mother passed away just couple of days ahead of Mothers’ Day in 2009. Since then, we celebrate her life by remembering her last memorable moment with us - despite it was heartbreaking - from then on, Mothers’ Day really doesn’t mean much anymore.
Every advertising materials that were on circulation for the last few weeks been on “sales” and “Mothers’ Day Specials”. Many people will be sweeping up some great deals, or grabbing handful of luck bidding to win NZ Lotteries’s Mother’s Day Promotion.
Since last week’s morning with my usual radio station that I listen to, ZM Online is doing a promotion with NZ Lotteries with a game that allowing you and your mother to participate in the game to win up to NZ$500 together, and chances to win the Mother’s Day draw with many big prizes. I felt so ripped as I will never be able to partake with this game anymore.
And every promotion and campaign on Mothers’ Day really torn me from inside, that I registered moment of sadness of losing our mother.
However, there are many mothers out there and they all deserved the loves and carings from their families and best gift for a mother is always the love from the heart.
Love your mother and spend quality time with her, clock is ticking.
